A simple method to fix irregular-shaped or large samples on a sample stage

The samples we drill are not always flat slub or thin sections. For example, we sometimes drill large, thick samples such as stalactites or corals, or irregular-shaped rocks.

In such cases, how can they be easily and efficiently fixed to the sample plate? One answer is the "glue gun," which can be purchased at like Amazon.

Place the sample on the sample stage and fix several edges of the sample with a glue gun. This is all you need to do to secure the sample to the stage. Furthermore, the glue gun can be easily peeled off when removing the sample.

Please give it a try.
